I’m Waleed Afzal

Entrepreneur, Founder & CEO of WP Tailwatch (wptailwatch.com)

I’m a software founder, security engineer, and cloud infrastructure specialist focused on building practical, developer-grade products that solve complex operational problems.

Over the years, my work has spanned software engineering, custom web applications, cloud systems architecture, and WordPress security tooling. I specialize in taking real-world technical friction the repetitive, fragmented tasks that drain time and create security risks and turning them into streamlined, automated software solutions.

What I’m Building

I am the Founder and CEO of WP Tailwatch, a mobile-first, real-time WordPress site management and security command center built specifically for agencies, developers, and site owners.

I started building WP Tailwatch after experiencing firsthand how fragmented WordPress management had become. Juggling dozens of open tabs, conflicting hosting panels, disconnected backup tools, and unread email alerts is an operational bottleneck that costs time and leaves client sites vulnerable.

WP Tailwatch replaces that clutter with a single, centralized control center that brings together:

  • Real-time Mobile Push Alerts: Instant notifications delivered to your phone so you can respond to site events anywhere, anytime.

  • Automated Security & Malware Remediation: Real-time payload quarantine and remediation that neutralizes malicious files on impact without requiring manual server access.

  • Vulnerability Intelligence & Log Tracking: Continuous security audits, login protection, and actionable activity logging.

  • Centralized Fleet Management: Consolidated site health checks, automated backups, one-click recovery, and multi-user team access delegation.

Engineering & Product Philosophy

Building Products, Not Just Features

A key insight I’ve gained from building software is that technical architecture is only half the battle. A great product isn’t defined by feature density—it’s defined by how quickly and effectively it solves a user’s core problem.

Through building and scaling WP Tailwatch, my focus is centered on:

  • Operational Speed: Eliminating friction and administrative bloat so agency teams save billable hours.

  • Proactive Security: Moving away from passive post-incident alerts toward automated, real-time threat remediation.

  • User-Driven Iteration: Refining product features around real-world usage patterns, daily active workflows, and direct founder-to-user feedback loops.

Technical Focus & Beyond

My primary technical interest lies at the intersection of SaaS architecture, web security, cloud infrastructure, automation, and mobile-first product development.

While my current focus is expanding WP Tailwatch into a comprehensive security hub for WordPress fleets, the long-term vision extends further: engineering scalable security and site management systems that can protect and streamline modern web applications across diverse technology stacks.

I enjoy connecting with fellow founders, engineers, and product builders. If you’re interested in talking about bootstrapped SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud engineering, or product growth, feel free to reach out.
